Coach Mays is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin University, earning a Bachelor of Finance. He played

Defensive Back on the 1999 Southland Conference Championship football team and was a 4-year

letterman. A 1997 Martin High School graduate, Coach Mays was a captain on the 1996 district

championship team. This is his 21st year coaching football. Coach Mays is married to Melissa with two

sons, Luke and Matthew.
