Coach Shrags is an Arlington native and 2007 graduate of James Martin High School. In addition, he was a member of the leadership council on Coach Wager’s first football team at Martin High School. Coach Shrags graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science, and a Master’s degree in Education.  In addition, he was a 3-year starter and team captain for the Bobcats. Coach Shrags was also a member of the 2008 Southland Conference Championship at Texas State University as well as being selected to the Academic All-conference Team in the 2010 and 2012. Coach Shrags, in his eighth year at Martin High School, resides in Arlington with his wife Jacie and daughter Ella.
